MOUNT ABU : A unique destination for Adventure and eco tourism The Raj period approached it as a relaxation place to rewind along with the royalties and semi royalties. DILWARA TEMPLE
These beautiful carved temples built in 11th and 13th century and dedicated to Jain Tirthankaras. Outside the main doors of this temple, there are two statues called Devrani's and Jethani's goklas respectively, and are backed by stories of competitive jealousy of the two wives of these brothers. The Vimal Vasahi temple is older and is also known to be the first Jain temple and is dedicated to the first Jain Tirthankara. Built in 1031, by Bhim Deva, the first Solanki ruler of Gujarat, the temple is constructed in pure marble, with plain exteriors.The later ' Tejpal temple ' is dedicated to Neminath, the 22nd tirthankar, and was built in 1230 by the brothers Tejpal and Vastupal. The carving is so fine that, in places, the marble becomes almost transparent.

NAKKI LAKE
A tiny lake picturesquely set amid hills. The Lake is dotted with is several islets approachable by boats. Of particular interests are strange rock formation around the lake. Its a big attraction for the tourist. The lakes takes its names from the legend that it was scooped out by a god using only his nails. Its a pleasant stroll around the lake. On the lake there is a dilapidated concrete boat shaped snack bar.

SUNRISE PALACE
Situated on one of the highest points in Mount Abu is the summer Palace of the Maharajas. Now its known as Sunrise Palace provides a breathtaking panoramic view of lush green Aravallis surrounding it. ACHALGARH FORT
This fort was built by the warrior king rana kumbha, who conquered Mount abu From its chauhan rulers. It lies 5 miles from Mount abu, nearby there are several ancient temples. Lord Shiva temple is the famous temple.

KESAR BHAWAN PALACE
Kesar Bhawan Palace is more than a century old. It was constructed in the year 1868 by Maharaja Daivat Singh of Sirohi. Maharaja Daivat Singh is a descendant of Maharaho Lumbha who is believed to have conquered Mount Abu in 1311 A.D. After the passage of 100 years, the palace still stands as a very remarkable structure in Rajasthan, India and is admired by the onlookers.

VIMALA - VASAHI TEMPLE
Vimala Vashi Temple is an ancient Jain Temple located in Dilwara. A drive for just 2.5 kilometers from Mount Abu would lead you to this temple. Mount Abu, which is also famous for the other Jain Pilgrim sites like Dilwara Temple, is of great importance for the Jains. This temple of the Jains has been dedicated to the first Jain Tirthankara named Adinath. The temple is located in an open courtyard and is encircled by enormous smaller cells. You shall be able to see numerous smaller images over here.

Constructed by Vimal Shah who had been a minister of Raj Bhimdeo, the temple is dedicated to Adinath. You can see the metallic idol of Adinath over here. It is composed of brass and gold. He had been the first of the Jain Tirthankaras.

NEMINATH TEMPLE
Neminath Temple, built in 1231 AD, is situated at Mount Abu in Rajasthan. It is of similar architecture and design as that of the Adinath Temple at Dilwara.The temple was constructed by the two brothers, Vastupal and Tajpal of the Porwarl Jain community. The temple is dedicated to Neminath, the twenty second Jain Tirthankar. It is a fine example of workmanship, as seen its carvings, friezes, pillars and sculpted porticos.

ADHAR DEVI TEMPLE
This temple is situated at a distance of 3km to the north of the city. the temple is built on a rock cleave and one has to crounch under the rock to enter the temple. This temple is dedicated to goddess Durga is regarding as one of the important pigrimage sites of mount abu.

There are fine views over Mount Abu from up here. This temple is one of the favourite tourist spots of Mount Abu. It is believed that the image of the goddess was originally hanging in mid-air, hence the name is ' Adhar Devi '.

GOMUKH TEMPLE
Gomukh Temple is located around 8 km southwest of Mount abu. It is said that the temple was built on the spot where saint Vashishth performed a yagna to create four major rajput clans. Down on the abu road side of Mount abu, a small stream flows from the mouth of a marble cow, giving the shrine its name. There is also a marble figure of Nandi, Shiva's vehicle.

SHRI RAGHUNATHJI TEMPLE
Shri Raghunathji Temple is located on the Shore of Nakki Lake in Mount Abu. It is believed that the temple is constructed way back in 14th century by a scholarly Hindu protagonist, Shri Ramanand. The idol of Shri Raghunathji enshrining the temple is highly attractive. The temple stands as a rich heritage of century old Mewar culture. This is an ideal location for Hindu religious devotees to pay a purposeful visit.

LUNA VASHI TEMPLE
The Luna Vashi Temple India is a principal attraction for the tourists. Apart from the Jain pilgrims, other too, visits this place and enjoys the intricate carvings and floral designs laid over the floor of the temple. The temple draws tourists from near and far.

BRAHMA KUMARIS SPIRITUAL UNIVERSITY

Sunset Point is a major attraction in Mount Abu, placed perfectly to the south west of the calm Nakki Lake to view the magnificent sunset. The eye catching view of the sunset, setting behind the forest ranges of the Mount Abu peaks is amazing for any nature loving tourist. One can get a spectacular panoramic view of the mountain ranges and the beautiful lake from this point. TOAD ROCK
Toad Rock is a mammoth rock structure in Mount Abu hanging over the south of calm and cool Nakki Lake. This is the best attractive rock formation found in the regions of Mount Abu. This rock by view seems to be overlooking the whole lake. People can climb up to the top of the Toad rock and can view the panoramic beauty of the surrounding lake and greenish hilly regions from the top of the rock.

MOUNT ABU WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
Established in 1960, the Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary covers a large expanse of the Mount Abu forests and hilly regions of about 290 square kilometer. It is situated at north eastern side of Mount Abu. The highest peak Guru Shikhar in the Aravalli mountain ranges is situated in the region of the Sanctuary.

GURU SHIKHAR
Guru Shikhar, Mount Abu's highest mountain peak, is located at an altitude of about 1,722 meters above sea level in Mount Abu. The adventurous trek can take the tourist to the top of the peak. One can get eye catching panoramic view of surrounding sylvan region. The cool climate and serene environments make the peak a much sought place for seclusion.
